IKEA PR Plan

















We get many assignments, exams, and blog posts to do. But this project work was really good, because when you get practical work to do and can come up with more ideas. IKEA assignment is a good practical experience which I learned from it.


There was research which I found relevant data from internet and other friends. IKEA is largest furniture retailer of the world and coming to Winnipeg. This is an interesting in itself. I evaluated the whole furniture industry situation. 

I assumed me as a communication officer of IKEA, and completed this plan as a real plan not only for grades but also to learn how to make a successful public relation plan. I followed the plan format given by Samantha, which really helped me out to get everything on board in a better way. 



I also assumed myself as an entrepreneur and if I am going to start my own company how I will make a public relation plan. I adopted go, shake, and win the market policy in this plan. The main objective of plan was to promote the grand opening. Presence of  big Hollywood star Angelina Jolly, was a main idea to promote the event and majority of furniture stuff  bought by ladies, so more ladies will come to event.

Idea of promoting opening event through local media, social media buzz, and vehicle display are main tactics of this plan. I learned practical nuts and bolts of PR through this plan.
